Until two weeks before his death, Shin Hae-chul passionately continued performing, and his sudden death left fans and many others unable to hide their devastation. The surgeon who operated on Shin Hae-chul received a one-year prison sentence for medical negligence. In response, panelists including Jang Do-youn expressed anger that the sentence was too light.
