The girl group ITZY will once again prove their formidable status as K-pop's leading performance queens with their new mini album Motto.
ITZY will officially release their new mini album Motto on the 18th and begin full-scale comeback activities. This new record, released about six months after last November's album TUNNEL VISION, is expected to carry forward the momentum of the similarly titled world tour, which is currently enjoying enthusiastic responses from global fans.
In particular, the stages previewed at the world tour that opened in February at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa District, Seoul, have amped up anticipation for this album. The song THAT'S A NO NO, first unveiled at the Seoul concert, showcased the members' dynamic energy and relaxed stage manner and was affectionately nicknamed "Daechu No No" among fans, receiving great love. Even before its official release, the song entered major domestic music charts such as Melon's top 100 and its stage video views climbed sharply, proving its major topicality.
One highlight of this album is the inclusion of five distinct solo songs that heated up the concert venue. The recordings reproduce the overwhelming emotion of the concert with songs that capture each member's clear personality, from emotional moods to confident attitudes: Pocket (Yeji), Asylum (Lia), LOOK (Ryu Jin), Undefined (Chaeryeong), and Tangerine (Yuna). Adding the title track Motto and Glitch, and you And I brings the total to eight well-made tracks. Prominent domestic and international songwriters including Shim Eunji, Lee Woo-min "collapsedone", KASS, and Justin Reinstein participated in large numbers to raise the level of completion.
As ITZY has always captivated the public with overwhelming group choreography, expectations for the title track Motto's performance have reached a peak alongside the release of uniquely aesthetic teaser content. Fans worldwide are watching closely to see how the upgraded skills and expressiveness honed through numerous domestic and international stages have been incorporated into the new song's choreography.
Meanwhile, ITZY's new mini album Motto, which cements their global dominance, will be released through various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 18th. One hour before the music release, at 5 p.m., they will hold a countdown live and engage in close communication with global fans.
