'The Return of SUPERMAN' Oh Seung-hwan said he hoped that if his son played baseball, he would not become a closer.
On the 6th episode aired on KBS 2TV 'The Return of SUPERMAN' (hereafter 'The Return of SUPERMAN'), 'legendary closer' Oh Seung-hwan revealed his daily life with his 35-month-old son Seo-jun.
That day, Oh Seung-hwan, who visited the baseball stadium for the first time in a long time since his retirement, watched the game with Seo-jun and showed a complex, subtle expression. He said, "Only as recently as six months ago I was wearing the same uniform and playing the same games, but after retiring it feels a little new and the emptiness is greater. Only now am I realizing, 'I have retired.' These days I'm starting to feel it."
After the game they visited the indoor practice field and the two met Koo Ja-wook, Choi Hyung-woo and Kang Mi-ho and had a good time.
Later, when asked, "Do you want your son to play baseball?" he said, "I would like it if he had talent for baseball and did well, but if he becomes a pitcher I would tell him not to be a closer."
He added, "Having pitched as a closer in the pros for 21 years now, I think it would be hard to do it with the pressure. I just want Seo-jun to live his life happily."
