Actor Jang Ha-gyeong captivated the scene, displaying a graceful hanbok silhouette against the tranquil hanok background in Yeongwol, Gangwon Province.
On Apr. 30, 2026, at The Hanok Heritage in Yeongwol, Gangwon Province, the "2026 Wedding Showcase in Yeongwol" was held, featuring a hanbok fashion show that partnered Geum Dan-je, a hanbok brand with 33 years of tradition, and OUWR (OUWR), a fashion brand with a modern sensibility. Fitting for a venue that won first place worldwide in the hotel category of the 2024 Versailles Architecture Awards organized by UNESCO and the International Union of Architects, the hanok's neat beauty and the hanbok's splendor harmonized to elicit admiration.
The highlight of the fashion show was actor Jang Ha-gyeong, who took the stage with the concept of "the bride's joy." Jang Ha-gyeong wore a hanbok dress with an elegant line and performed modern Korean dance, dominating the stage. Her delicate gestures and dignified presence shone even more over the texture of the hanok, eliciting enthusiastic applause from the audience gathered at the site.
That day the stage also featured Miss Korea Han Ariel, Jo Se-hui, and Jeong Bo-bin, who drew attention with elegant yet charismatic stage manners. The show opened with dancer Iru-da announcing the start with dynamic choreography, and a variety of costumes followed, ranging from hanboks that conveyed a deep sense of tradition to modern pastel-toned hanboks.
Geum Dan-je's chief designer Lee Il-sun presented nine hanboks that emphasized traditional charm, while OUWR's chief designer Jang Ha-eun, who drew attention for OUWR's stage costumes at Blackpink's Coachella performance, put nine modern hanboks on the stage by reinterpreting dangui and cheolik as dresses. Jewelry from RIMM completed an even more radiant stage.
Designer Lee Il-sun said, "I wanted to express the excitement and tranquility of the start of a new family, marriage, in the atmosphere of an old house through the ethereal beauty of hanbok." Jang Ha-eun, who oversaw the fashion show, also said, "It was a meaningful time to show OUWR's reinterpretation in a heritage-filled space where tradition and modernity meet."
Meanwhile, Jang Ha-gyeong, who earned recognition for her acting through short films such as "Wisdom teeth" and the play "The Visit of the Old Lady," made an impression on viewers by appearing in The Penthouse, The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival, The Resurrection of the Seven, Spirit Fingers, and others.
