Kim Dae-ho made a surprise appearance in episode 1 of Perfect Crown, and the reason is revealed.
On Thursday the 7th at 10 p.m., MBC's Save Me! Homes (directors: Jeong Da-hee, Nam You Joung, Heo Ja-yoon, Kim Seong-nyeon; hereafter "Homes") will search for apartments in Seoul available for purchase for under 1 billion won.
On that episode, "Veteran coordinator" Kim Sook, Kim Dae-ho and "national nephew" GREE deploy. The three, at a time when Seoul's average APT price has surpassed 1.5 billion won for the first time in history, set out to find so-called "single-digit hundred million" listings, that is, apartments available for purchase for under 1 billion won. In particular, they focus on listings in Mapo, Yongsan and Seongdong — the core areas of the Han River belt, nicknamed "Ma·Yong·Seong," drawing attention.
From "national nephew," GREE, who returned from discharge from the marine corps looking gallant, teaches the uncles- and aunts–age MCs the latest military slang. Jang Dong-min, who does not fully understand the slang, imitates it absurdly and turns the set into a sea of laughter, prompting curiosity about what the word that confused the MCs was. At the same time, the MCs continue to tease Kim Dae-ho, who appears in the studio for the first time in a while.
In particular, the MCs mention Kim Dae-ho's cameo in the drama Perfect Crown and tease him by saying, "Appearing in the drama changed him," drawing laughter. Questions pour in asking, "Have you talked to IU or Byeon Woo-seok?" and Kim Dae-ho also shares behind-the-scenes stories from the set, delivering an unexpected "actor Kim Dae-ho" anecdote that piques curiosity.
Earlier, on the 10th of last month, Kim Dae-ho made a surprise appearance as a reporter covering chaebol Seong Hee-ju (played by IU) in the first broadcast of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown.
Seong Hee-ju attended the royal birthday banquet, struck a pose and confidently walked the red carpet. At that moment, reporters were surprised at the forbidden red look in the palace, saying, "What, Seong Hee-ju wearing red, in the palace?" When another reporter nearby said, "She just wants attention," Kim Dae-ho drew attention by saying, "Still, she is pretty, though."
Also, the first place the three visited on Homes that day was a large-scale apartment complex in Gangbuk-gu, which has recorded the highest number of Seoul apartment sales transactions since early 2026. The listing is known to satisfy four or more of the six key real estate factors denoted by the acronym "Beu-yeok-dae-sin-pyeong-cho," attracting attention. Faced with the unfamiliar abbreviation, the coordinators try to infer its meaning, and Yang Se-hyung laments, "If it's going to be this hard, can't we not use abbreviations?" eliciting sympathy. The mystery of what "Beu-yeok-dae-sin-pyeong-cho" stands for arouses curiosity.
Meanwhile, while looking around the interior of the house, Kim Sook and Kim Dae-ho activate their "Homes coordinator" instincts honed from long experience and begin to deduce the house's layout and the homeowner's lifestyle. However, their guesses miss again and again, showing a "it's all gone" side, raising interest in whether Kim Sook and Kim Dae-ho can maintain their pride as veteran Homes MCs.
