Group Shinhwa member Kim Dong Wan, who had warned he would stop using social media, has now chosen "AI censorship" and is drawing renewed attention for a changed attitude of self-discipline.
Kim Dong Wan recently warned he would stop using social media, saying, "When I start a project, I have to disable threads." He then added the reply "contractual condition," revealing an unexpected reason that caught attention.
He joked, "It seems to be the world's first," and added, "I'm a bit like that," seeming conscious of the controversies that have followed him.
In fact, Kim Dong Wan has recently been involved in several controversies over his social media remarks. From principled remarks about the "legalization of prostitution" to openly supporting the controversial MC Ding-dong, he has repeatedly faced criticism and issued apologies.
Nonetheless, he could not completely cut off social media. Rather, attention is focusing on how he has changed his approach.
On the 4th, Kim Dong Wan said on his personal social media that "these days I consult with AI before posting," noting that he checks everything from sentence editing to potential controversies. At the same time he added, "I make the final call. AI is still shameless," showing both trust in and caution toward AI.
When a fan said, "It's a world where you have to be careful," he replied, "I do have to be careful," even adding a "self-whipping" comment.
Meanwhile, he has also expressed his principle on social media and relationships, saying, "The quietest way to respond to rudeness is distance." Although he has not completely given up social media, support continues for his changed attitude. Whether Kim Dong Wan will show change through "censorship" rather than plain speaking and the direction of his social media use are drawing attention.
