The group Pow is starting a self-composed song project "The Demo Tape." The first start is opened by member Jeongbin.
On the 5th, Pow will release the first track of "The Demo Tape #1," "WHY," and embark on a full-scale musical experiment.
The "The Demo Tape" project will be carried out by working each member's story into music and then holding a listening session to appreciate them together, unfolding small but long-lasting emotions one song at a time to offer comfort and empathy to listeners.
This project was conceived to expand the team's creative capabilities while delivering more sincere messages, by translating emotions and thoughts captured in members' daily lives into music.
"WHY" is an R&B soul genre song, and it is meaningful as member Jeongbin wrote the lyrics and composed it himself. It is characterized by delicately capturing subtle emotions that bloom in moments that might pass by, and it is expected to convey empathy by honestly expressing growing feelings and confusion in relationships that are hard to define.
Jeongbin explained the motivation for working on the song by saying, "I captured the feelings that came to mind when I saw two people in front of a school whose behavior I couldn't tell whether it was a joke or serious," and added, "I wanted to express the feelings that keep nagging at you even when you try to let them go and the complicated emotions shaken by the other's actions."
He continued, "I'm nervous and excited to be the first among the members to present a song in the self-composed project. I hope the fans like it."
Meanwhile, Pow is a multinational boy group that debuted in Oct. 2023.
