That day the two said, "We will have our wedding on June 7 this year. And I received a surprise proposal from Hee-young," adding, "Having lived different lives before meeting, at first our relationship began cautiously, but at some point we became each other's most comfortable person," explaining what led them to decide to marry.
They added, "Each of us has children, and because there were many things to consider we moved more cautiously and slowly to get here," saying, "In that process there were joyful moments and not-easy moments, but now we feel that choosing to be together is the right choice."

Finally, the two concluded the message by saying, "From now on we will slowly show you what it's like to live as one family just as we are. Please support our new beginning a lot."
Meanwhile, Jeong Hee-young and Lee Jin-young connected through MBN's Love after Divorce6, which aired in 2024, became a final couple and developed into a real-life relationship. Jinyoung has a son, and Hee-young has a daughter.
