The group Cortis makes a glamorous return with a new album that finally contains their solidified musical direction.
Cortis will simultaneously release their second mini-album 'GREENGREEN' worldwide on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 4th. Following their previous mini album, all five members again took a leading role across production, including music, choreography and videos, showcasing the true nature of the "young creator crew." They aspire to prove their limitless potential themselves by pursuing the raw naturalness that is most Cortis, without being bound by a fixed concept.
The album contains six diverse tracks based on the contrast between the title track 'REDRED', which reflects what they want to avoid, and the album title 'GREENGREEN', which signifies their direction. The album is filled with 'TNT', which depicts explosive passion; 'ACAI', inspired by the members' real daily life of acai bowls; 'YOUNGCREATORCREW', which contemplates the team's moniker; 'Wassup', which sings about changes after debut; and 'Blue Lips', which deals with wounds and dreams. In particular, Cortis previewed an overwhelming scale by producing music videos for as many as five of the tracks, and at 6 p.m. today they will premiere the full music video for 'TNT' simultaneously with the music release.
Global interest in their comeback has already been proven by astonishing numbers. The pre-released title track 'REDRED' on the 20th of last month achieved the feat of entering Spotify's global charts ('Weekly Top Songs' at No. 103, 'Daily Top Songs' at No. 100, etc.), becoming the first K-pop boy group that debuted within the past five years to do so. Also, the pre-save count for the new release on Spotify easily surpassed 1.03 million as of the morning of the release day on the 4th. Physical album preorders have also exceeded 2.39 million copies (as of April 30), virtually ensuring a second consecutive double million-seller.
Meanwhile, starting at 8 p.m. on the 4th, immediately after the album release, a GREENGREEN release party to celebrate the new album with global fans will be held at S Factory in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Cortis will perform live stages of all tracks included on the new album, and the atmosphere at the venue will be broadcast live worldwide simultaneously via HYBE Labels' YouTube channel and the fan platform Weverse.
