Comedian Yang Sang-guk's "stern view on dating" has sparked controversy, and attention continues as a past fortune teller's remarks are being reexamined.
Recently on the YouTube web variety show "Pinggego," Yang Sang-guk revealed a firm philosophy on dating. "If you're not going to do it for life, I won't do it," he said, and the remark, which extended to the reason he does not take his girlfriend home, sparked heated debate among viewers.
Especially when Yu Jae-seok said, "If you love someone, don't you want to spend more time together?" and tried to persuade him, Yang Sang-guk stood firm and showed a "stubborn view on dating."
As these remarks became a hot topic, the past evaluation by fortune teller Park Seong-jun is also receiving renewed attention.
Earlier, on the program "My Ugly Duckling," Park Seong-jun commented on Yang Sang-guk's physiognomy, saying, "Excessive desire is visible, but choices do not follow a proper flow," and gave a rather cold analysis that "you may be blocked or face frustration in the middle." He said it was undermining his luck. He went on to say that "a role of supporting from behind suits him better," which also embarrassed Yang Sang-guk at the time.
By contrast, in the same episode Heo Kyunghwan received an opposite evaluation that "mainstream luck and marriage luck have come in."
In the end, a controversy sparked by a single remark on a variety show also brought up past remarks. Whether Yang Sang-guk's "conviction" will remain a quirk or become a burden is something to watch.
