Hyun Joo-yeop shared his feelings after the controversy over negligence and power abuse.
On the 4th, Hyun Joo-yeop appeared on tvN STORY grants 'What are you leaving behind?'
Lee Young-ja told Hyun Joo-yeop, "I've been such a fan since I was young. Seeing you smile and eat well puts my mind at ease," then asked, "What about the public's misunderstandings?" Hyun Joo-yeop said, "I think it's much better than before. At first he avoided talking about the incident, but now seeing him do it, I think the misunderstandings are gradually being resolved," he said.
Earlier, Hyun Joo-yeop said he went through the hardest time of his life because of the negligence incident surrounding him. Hyun Joo-yeop said, "They called it negligence because I was doing broadcasting work and teaching students. I filled the rest of my time with work. So it was corrected. People weren't interested in that," he said. Lee Young-ja empathized, "It's hard to resolve."
Hyun Joo-yeop said, "I went to my alma mater to volunteer my talent with good intentions to guide students, but at that time my kids were in middle school. I think that led to some misunderstandings."
Lee Young-ja opened by saying, "The words in the article were strong," and Hyun Joo-yeop explained, "Power abuse, negligence. If you look at the comments, there were things like, 'Did you go to your alma mater to make money from the kids?' Comments said, 'Did you go to make pocket change?' It's almost unheard of for a professional team coach to go to high school," he explained. Hyun Joo-yeop added, "I did it with good intentions, but the misunderstanding made me uncomfortable."
Hyun Joo-yeop revealed that four family members were hospitalized after the incident. He is still taking medication. Hyun Joo-yeop said, "If it had been something I had to endure alone, I would have gotten through it, but because my family was involved," he conveyed his mixed feelings.
