On Running Man, Chung Ha revealed the behind-the-scenes story of summoning I.O.I members together for the first time in 10 years.
On the March 3 broadcast of SBS variety show Running Man, Chung Ha and Somi appeared.
Yu Jae-seok said, "They came to greet as I.O.I for the first time in a long time, the full group in 10 years," introducing Chung Ha and Jeon Somi as guests, and, surprised at their matured appearance, said, "They're adults now." Yu Jae-seok also said, "Sejung was disappointed she couldn't come because of her schedule."
"The puzzle of youth" was completed in a meaningful year. When asked why they reunited after 10 years, Chung Ha said, "I made the calls," mentioning that it was Chung Ha's suggestion that brought them together, and said, "It's our 10th anniversary, so I asked if we were going to do nothing, and everyone immediately agreed to come together even though the companies are different and it's not easy to gather." She said she felt, "Everyone wanted to do it," about the younger members who promptly agreed.
Somi said, "The 'Pick Me' choreography becomes muscle memory," and, "Because it was the first choreography, it came back immediately," recalling the nostalgic hip roll and summoning memories up to the "Very Very Very" choreography.
But regarding the new song, she laughed, "It's not been revealed yet; it came out a little early," and said, "I shouldn't spoil it," arousing curiosity about the unknown comeback song. Instead, Chung Ha added, "A song we recorded 10 years ago, 'Smiling Goodbye,' is scheduled to be released on May 4."
