Singer Yoon Bok-hee confessed that she underwent four abortions because of contract clauses.
On the 2nd broadcast of MBN 'Kim Ju-ha's Day and Night,' singer Yoon Bok-hee appeared and talked.
That day, when Kim Ju-ha asked Yoon Bok-hee, who lost her parents at an early age, "Was the time you missed your parents the most when you were struggling, or when you succeeded?" Yoon Bok-hee answered, "when I was very successful."
Yoon Bok-hee said, "I participated in an international song contest in Hawaii, U.S. I won the performance award there. It is especially remarkable when a performer wins a performance award. It is akin to winning an acting award."
She continued, "But at the very end, when they announced the grand prize, they called me again. Out of four awards, I won two. But there was no one to give these to. I wish my father or mother had been there. There was no one, so it felt a bit bitter."
Also, Yoon Bok-hee confessed, in response to remarks that she had no children during her two marriages, "It's not that I didn't have children; I had children."
She added, "There was a contract that said I could not have children. When signing with a manager, others can change. But because I couldn't be changed, even if I married I couldn't have children."
Yoon Bok-hee said, "Such contracts are common abroad. I couldn't have a baby. I terminated the pregnancies. At the time we didn't know about contraception, neither my husband nor I knew about such things. Even after that, pregnancies kept happening, so I had the surgery about four times."
Yoon Bok-hee conveyed a guilty feeling, saying, "After I embraced religion, the thing I repented most about was that. It's almost equivalent to murder."
