Producer PDog and weathercaster Kim Ga-young have broken up.
According to the music industry on the 3rd, producer PDog and Kim Ga-young ended their romantic relationship earlier this year. The two are reported to have naturally drifted apart as they focused on their main work.
Earlier, PDog and Kim Ga-young confirmed their relationship in February 2024. At the time, when dating rumors surfaced, BigHit Music said "it is difficult to confirm the private life of a producer affiliated with our company," but Kim Ga-young formalized her relationship with PDog through the radio program she was appearing on.
Kim Ga-young said, "This is the first time I've talked about this on air, so it feels strange, and I received a lot of messages, but thank you for congratulating and supporting us," adding, "Both of us (Kim Ga-young, PDog) like working, so we are meeting while working hard and being considerate of each other."
Meanwhile, PDog is known as the musical father of the group BTS. He produced BTS songs including "Boy in Luv," "Fire," "I Need U," "Fake Love," "Blood Sweat & Tears," "ON," "DNA," and "Spring Day." Kim Ga-young, who debuted as an OBS weathercaster in 2015, worked as an MBC weathercaster from 2018 and also appeared on SBS Shooting Stars.
