KOYOTE member Shinji tied the knot with singer Moonwon, and the behind-the-scenes story of the wedding shared by longtime collaborator and composer Joo Younghoon and actress Lee Yunmi is drawing attention. In particular, Joo Younghoon poured heartfelt blessings on Shinji's marriage.
First, Lee Yunmi shared photos and videos from the wedding venue on social media on the 3rd, sincerely wishing the two well. In the released photos, Shinji attracted attention as she smiled brightly wearing a pure white off-shoulder dress and shared happy moments with groom Moonwon.
What drew particular attention was Joo Younghoon's presence. Throughout the ceremony he was busy taking photos with his phone, and viewers said his watchful look over Shinji conveyed a unique affection. Lee Yunmi said, "We bickered, telling each other not to cry," and added, "My husband has known Shinji since she was in high school and has always been a source of strength like an older brother." She went on to recall their long-standing bond, saying, "Today, celebrating Shinji's marriage, the sight of him nervously taking photos looked truly admirable."
Joo Younghoon also expressed special feelings in a message he left himself. He recalled their long relationship, saying, "When I first met Shinji she was a second-year high school student," and added with emotion, "The younger sibling who leaned on me in hard times is finally getting married." What stood out most was one of his lines: "No matter what anyone says, I trust and bless her choice."
That remark, which seemed conscious of controversies and various perspectives raised by some, is ultimately read as a message emphasizing trust in "Shinji's choice." Although various stories continued around the marriage news delivered without a dating rumor, the background of remarriage, and videos of the formal meeting, on that day blessings were at the center.
Earlier, the two held a private wedding at Raum Art Center in Gangnam District, Seoul. The first-part hosts were Boom and Moon Seyoon, and KOYOTE member Kim Jongmin and Baekga delivered the congratulatory remarks, showing their loyalty.
They surprised guests by passionately singing Sung Si Kyung's "You were touching," which moved Shinji to tears and showed deep emotion. The celebratory songs were further heated by performances from Ailee and Baek Z Young.
