Actor Kim Mi-kyung left a lingering impression with her flawless performance as a character until the end in SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Shin Yi-rang law office'.
Kim Mi-kyung played Park Kyung-hwa, the mother of Shin Yi-rang (Yoo Yeon-seok), a lawyer who sees ghosts, in this work, which ended on the 2nd, portraying her deep maternal love for her son and steadfast trust in her husband with sincerity.
In the drama, Park Kyung-hwa quietly supported the protagonist Shin Yi-rang, showing unwavering faith in her husband Shin Gi-joong (Choi Won-young). Especially in episodes 15 and 16, the scene in which she faced her husband, who was possessed and inhabited Shin Yi-rang, and exchanged heartfelt gratitude conveyed the complex emotions she had experienced. The tears of Park Kyung-hwa, who had always stood strong and unshakable in front of her children, and the sincerity revealed amid them were enough to move viewers.
Kim Mi-kyung proved her solid acting skills by completing the character's multifaceted narrative with her eyes and expressions alone. At the moment of farewell when she had to truly let her husband go, she delivered a deep resonance with restrained emotional expression without exaggeration. Having portrayed various mother characters across genres, she is again praised for demonstrating the true worth of the "national mother".
As the series ended, Kim Mi-kyung said it was a precious work in which she met endlessly cheerful and warm people as family and laughed throughout the shoot, and expressed her feelings. She bowed her head in thanks to all the cast and crew who worked together, including her son Yi-rang, who showed fantastic acting, Yoo Yeon-seok, Choi Won-young, Sa-wi, Sarang-i, and Da-bong-i. She added a greeting hoping viewers felt relief, exhilaration and refreshment through the drama. <
