Big Bang's Daesung explained how he came to sing trot at Coachella.
On the 1st, a video titled "Welcome, isn't this the first time Big Bang and Girls' Generation have been paired?" was posted on 'Jip Daesung'.
That day the producers asked, "How do you feel about tearing up Coachella?" Previously, Big Bang had performed on the stages of the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on the 12th and 19th and received a heated response. Daesung, smiling bashfully, said, "What do you mean tear it up. We just have to close it up again."
Daesung expressed his feelings, saying, "The three of us performed on stage together for the first time in a while, and fortunately many people viewed it positively, so I performed with gratitude."
Daesung also presented the festival's first trot performance at Coachella. When the producers asked, "Whose idea was it?" Daesung said, "Well, that... it wasn't meant to be some kind of patriotic promotion. While preparing our solo stages, I thought this was a stage only I could do, so I did it."
Then Jejin mentioned the attention-grabbing "Korean LED" and asked, "Whose idea was it?" Daesung said, "That also didn't have a big intention. Originally that was the blank screen, but during rehearsal Yong-sama saw it and suggested, 'How about writing My Name Is Daesung (in English)?' so he proposed it."
He added, "Anyway, I was planning to say 'Hello, I'm Daesung' as is. If that's the case, I said let's make it big in Korean, so I developed what Yong-sama tossed out and made the Korean really big," he revealed behind the scenes.
