The group's firepower after returning as a complete lineup, BTS, is formidable. Even a month and a half after their comeback, they still dominate global charts.
BigHit Music said on the 2nd, "According to the latest weekly chart of the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, BTS's fifth full-length album "Arirang (ARIRANG)" has charted for six consecutive weeks."
In the weekly chart tally from April 24 to 30, BTS's "Arirang" ranked No. 2 on the "weekly top albums global," maintaining a top position for six consecutive weeks. Also, the title track "Swim (SWIM)" rose one spot to No. 2 on the "weekly top songs global."
BTS released "Arirang" on March 20 and returned as a complete lineup for the first time in three years and nine months. "Arirang" immediately became the most streamed K-pop album ever on Spotify after its release, and it also became the most played album in a single day this year.
"Swim" also went straight to No. 1 on the charts, and all tracks on the album lined up from No. 1 to No. 14, proving BTS's overwhelming firepower. Since its release, BTS has charted for six consecutive weeks, demonstrating global influence.
Furthermore, "Arirang" landed at No. 17 on the U.K. Official Charts' "official albums top 100" (May 1–7), released on the 2nd, and has likewise remained in the rankings for six weeks.
BTS began performances of the "BTS world tour 'ARIRANG'" with a start in Goyang on the 9th of last month and has been continuing the shows. They are currently on their North American tour.
