The group Cortis achieved double million-seller status with preorders alone.
BigHit Music said on the 2nd, "According to record distributors YG Plus and Universal Records, preorders for Cortis' mini album 2 'GREENGREEN', set to be released on the 4th, totaled 2,397,188 as of April 30." With this, Cortis recorded double million-seller status upon the release of the new album.
Cortis' mini album 2 'GREENGREEN' began preorders on Mar. 27 and surpassed 1.22 million copies in seven days, achieving million-seller status. It later reached 2.02 million preorders in 18 days.
This result proves the strong interest in Cortis' new album. Cortis previously pre-released the title track 'REDRED' from 'GREENGREEN' on Apr. 20 and began full promotional activities. Orders surged with the song's release, and it sold more than 340,000 copies over the following 10 days.
Cortis' 'REDRED' is also performing well in the global market. The song reached No. 1 on Apple Music's "Today's Top 100: Korea," ranked 103 on Spotify's "Weekly Top Songs Global," and claimed No. 1 on Spotify Korea's "Weekly Top Songs." It is the first boy group debuting in the past five years to enter Spotify's weekly and daily global charts consecutively.
