The "Ddarum challenge" uses the catchy chorus "Dda-rum" section of TWS's mini fifth EP "NO TRAGEDY" title track "Neol Ttaraga (You, You)", released on the 27th of last month.
It features a rhythmic step expressing the desire to follow someone you like, and movements that lightly shake the shoulders and feet maximize TWS's signature refreshing energy.
According to PLEDIS Entertainment Co., the cumulative views of the "Ddarum challenge" video uploaded to TWS's official Instagram account exceeded 24.1 million as of the 2nd. More than 11 videos surpassed 1 million views.
Celebrities have continued to take part. Already SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan, TOMORROW X TOGETHER's Yeonjun, LE SSERAFIM's Sakura and Chaewon, Cortis' Juhun and Sunghyun, NCT WISH's Sion, ITZY's Yuna, KickFlip's Gyehun, WJSN's Dayoung, EXO's Kai, NiziU's Rima, Park Myung Soo, and beauty creator Lee Sa-bae joined the "Ddarum challenge," drawing attention.
An applied version of the "Ddarum challenge," which imitates the actions of the person next to you like the song title, is also a hot topic. It is a version in which participants dance while turning in a circle and copy exactly the spontaneous moves shown by the person next to them.
In the challenge with EXO's Kai, Dohun followed EXO's "Love Shot" point choreography, and Shin Yu and beauty creator Lee Sa-bae alternated making gestures as if applying makeup to each other. The members' innocent imitation of Park Myung Soo's "Jjo-jjo dance" also brought cheerful smiles.
