Actor Moon Ji-in and comedian Kim Ki-ri's baby's sex has been revealed.
On the 1st, a video titled 'During a gender reveal, Kim Ki-ri kneels; Moon Ji-in = doting on a daughter or genius son?' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Acquaintance of an acquaintance'.
Moon Ji-in said, "It's the day we're leaving for Nagoya Airport in Japan, and this is the first time I'm pregnant, the first time I'm being filmed, and even more the first time for an overseas shoot—everything is a first. None of my pants fit, so how will the wardrobe work," she said worriedly.
Her husband, comedian Kim Ki-ri, accompanied her because he was worried about his wife. After arriving at Nagoya Airport, they called the obstetrician and heard the results of the fetal anomaly test and the gender test. Fortunately, the NIPT was normal. But Moon Ji-in alone heard the sex and did not tell her husband.
Moon Ji-in asked, "Do you want a daughter or a son?" Kim Ki-ri said, "Right now I prefer a son. If a daughter comes, that's also great."
Kim Ki-ri said, "If it's a daughter, I'll raise her strictly as I would a son; if it's a son, I'll raise him affectionately as I would a daughter. I hope a daughter becomes a 'teto girl' and a son becomes an 'egen man'." But every time Kim Ki-ri talked about daughters and sons, his facial expressions changed dramatically, which drew laughter.
While shopping for baby items, Moon Ji-in told Kim Ki-ri the sex. Kim Ki-ri was happy when he saw a pink bib, then showed disappointment when he saw a blue bib.
Kim Ki-ri said, "That's right, she did eat a lot of meat," and hurriedly added, "I'm sorry, son, I'm sorry for my reaction, but it's not that I'm disappointed. I do prefer a son."
Meanwhile, Kim Ki-ri and Moon Ji-in married in 2024. The couple, who suffered the pain of a miscarriage early in their marriage, tried natural conception again after in vitro failures, and last month they announced they had successfully conceived naturally, receiving many congratulations. They are expected to give birth in August.
