'Sokpulishow Dongchimi' actor Kim Jeong-tae said he did not hesitate to meet gangsters for the sake of his acting.
On the 2nd aired MBN 'Sokpulishow Dongchimi' (hereafter 'Dongchimi'), actor Kim Jeong-tae revealed behind-the-scenes details of his role in the film 'Ddonggae,' which made him known as an actor. At the time, Kim Jeong-tae, who was surviving on part-time jobs, said he happened to be not feeling well and was hospitalized at a hospital where he ended up eating with a gangster who was receiving an IV on the bed next to him.
Kim Jeong-tae said, "He wasn't an ordinary character. He was a character I wanted to steal. I thought I would definitely use him in a film," adding, "I couldn't meet just this person. So I met other people. But when I heard other people's stories, they said, 'A sashimi came into my armpit. But this came in and I grabbed it,'" and said, "I had to hear all the action, the wounds, that kind of history," surprising everyone.
Kim Jeong-tae went on to say that, like the karaoke scene in the film 'Friend,' he witnessed a gangster brawl in real life. Kim Jeong-tae said, "This is content that cannot be broadcast. Even so, they were fighting, and I watched to research the character."
