Hwang Jae-gyun, who divorced T-ara's Jiyeon two years ago, said he wants to remarry and declared that if he has a son he will make him play baseball.
The scene of the full-fledged real street food documentary "Jun Hyun-moo plan 3" (MBN·Channel S·SK broadband co-produced) episode 29, which airs at 9:10 p.m. on May 1 (today), shows Jun Hyun-moo, KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin) and "eating friend" Hwang Jae-gyun taking a food trip to Mungyeong and staging a "premium Korean beef, known as hanwoo & yakdol pork" mukbang.
The three who arrived in Mungyeong that day head to the "eat street" where a butcher shop and set-meal restaurants are together. They generously buy high-quality "two-star" hanwoo and pork fed with yakdol feed at the butcher shop, then enter a set-meal restaurant and grill the meat. While savoring hanwoo skirt steak and flower ribeye and holding a "hanwoo party," Hwang Jae-gyun repeatedly admired, "I go to beef restaurants often, but the quality of the meat here is really good." During the authentic mukbang that continued with yakdol pork, KwakTube asked, "You're not in a body to retire from baseball yet, so why did you do it?"
After a moment of thought, Hwang Jae-gyun revealed his honest reason for retiring. Moreover, the three challenge an "apple splitting" test to measure the "grip strength" needed for baseball. KwakTube, who went first, said confidently, "I hold the baby for five hours every day, so I think I can do it," but Jun Hyun-moo, watching him, quipped, "I'm tearing up. Our Taesan (the nickname for KwakTube's son)!" and turned the scene into a sea of laughter.
Later Jun Hyun-moo said, "Talk about it here~" and naturally opened the topic of remarrying. Hwang Jae-gyun began, "I want to remarry, I'm open to it," and confessed, "I want to have my own baby." He added, "If I have a baby, I'll definitely make him play baseball," and tossed out a teasing remark, "Honestly, I think I'll get married sooner than Hyun-moo hyung." But Jun Hyun-moo flipped the scene with an unimaginable comment that was a "home run." Amid the chaotic chemistry, the two candidly revealed their ideal types. Hwang Jae-gyun said, "I hope she's tall," while Jun Hyun-moo showed a contrasting preference, saying, "I like a petite and cute style."
Earlier, Hwang Jae-gyun acknowledged his relationship with T-ara member Jiyeon in February 2022 and held a wedding in December. But divorce rumors began to surface about two years after the marriage, and he officially announced the divorce in October 2024.
On the past MBC variety show Omniscient Interfering View, when someone said, "He seems to really like i-dle," Hwang Jae-gyun said, "I really like kids a lot." His manager also agreed, saying, "If Hwang Jae-gyun Jr. is born, it will really be a big deal."
Hwang Jae-gyun said the existence of his nephew greatly moved him. He said, "After my nephew was born, my thinking changed a lot," and added, "I really often think, 'I want to have my own child someday,'" mentioning future remarriage and plans for a second generation.
