Zzanbro Shin Dong-yeob was embroiled in controversy for allegedly sexually harassing a member of the group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), prompting a revision of the trailer, and the production team spoke cautiously.
Recently, a trailer was posted on the YouTube web variety show Zzanbro Shin Dong-yeob showing TOMORROW X TOGETHER members Soobin and Beomgyu appearing as cast in the next episode.
However, the video included scenes in which the hosts appeared to force Soobin to have his nipple length measured, and Soobin expressed his feelings, saying "I am ashamed."
Fans and netizens who saw it reacted with comments such as "Isn't that outright sexual harassment?", "You should know your limit when drinking," and "It really makes you frown immediately," and eventually the trailer was revised.
However, apart from the video revision, no official statements from the production team or the hosts had been delivered. The Zzanbro production team told OSEN by phone, "We took fans' opinions into account and made edits to the trailer and the video."
They added, "Because the trailer was made a bit provocative, we think that when you see the full episode that will be released later, there may not be such misunderstandings."
Meanwhile, TOMORROW X TOGETHER fans even held a truck protest. Fans pointed out on Apr. 28, "In the trailer for the variety show Zzanbro, where the idol appeared for recent album promotion, inappropriate levels of remarks and behavior were confirmed to the extent that it is difficult to view the content as one featuring idols."
They said, "In particular, MOA, the fandom of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, takes very seriously the fact that scenes close to sexual harassment were captured in the trailer of the broadcast. Therefore, to demand respect and protection for the artists, we plan to hold a truck protest targeting BigHit Music."
