Through Netflix's Single's Inferno 5, who gained recognition, Choi Mina-soo confesses on Kill It that "I am currently unemployed."
tvN's Kill It: Style Creator Battle released a Highlight video that will thrill "fashion survival" fans.
The new tvN variety show Kill It: Style Creator Battle (hereafter Kill It), which premieres May 12 at 10:10 p.m., is a fashion creator survival program to discover the next-generation figures who will lead K-fashion trends. It is an ambitious work from CJ ENM, the prestigious company that gave birth to legendary fashion survival shows such as Challenge! Supermodel Korea and Project Runway Korea, released after 10 years and attracting widespread attention.
Meanwhile, Kill It released a Highlight video predicting a seismic shift in Korea's fashion survival scene, drawing attention. The Highlight video begins by spotlighting fashion stars that CJ ENM has produced, such as Shin Hyun-ji, Choi So-ra and Jung Ho-yeon, and it announces the birth of a "next-generation style icon" completely different from the runway- and photo-centric conventions of the existing fashion world, creating a sensational impression.
At the same time, the diverse occupations of the 100 contestants who joined the survival show are revealed, sparking interest. From influencers who travel the global stage such as Yoo Hee-ra and Kim Ji-hoon, to style creators who swept SNS such as Yoo Bin, Kelly, and Hye-yoon Dan, and furthermore fashion designers, models, fashion brand CEOs, idols, Miss Korea, Jin, musicians, dancers, drag queens, stylists, set designers, space designers, visual artists and participants with a variety of other occupations have thrown their hats into the ring.
Among them, Single's Inferno 5's controversial villain Choi Mina-soo introduced herself as "unemployed?", raising expectations for the clash of contestants with different personalities, charms and backgrounds.
Earlier, Choi Mina-soo appeared on Single's Inferno 5, which was released on Netflix in January earlier this year, and drew great attention.
Choi Mina-soo is from the 2021 Mistoria Seon (善) and has a record of winning the overseas beauty pageant Miss Earth. In 2022 she participated in Channel A's The Penthouse: Battle for Residency and appeared in TV CHOSUN's DNA Lover, Netflix's Melo Movie and other programs, and last year she made a surprise appearance as Lee Jong-suk's blind date on the tvN weekend drama Law and The City.
Thanks in particular to her activities on Single's Inferno 5, Choi Mina-soo ranked first for three consecutive weeks in the TV-OTT integrated non-drama cast popularity category for the second week of February, announced by Good Data Corporation FUNdex.
Meanwhile, Kill It also spotlights three label leaders who will serve as mentors to the 100 style creators who have jumped from SNS into the real world, shining with strong presence. From Black Label's Jang Yoon-ju, Lee Jong-won and TXT's Yeonjun to White Label's Cha Jung-won and Shin Hyun-ji, and Red Label's Ahn Ah-reum, Yang Gaeng, the strongest fashion symbols gathered in one place promise the birth of an all-time great fashion survival show.
Above all, the combative appearances of contestants who have entered the full-scale missions grab attention. The 100 contestants spare no expense, from shocking styling to bold posing, to prove their styles amid a barrage of camera flashes. They run through the backstage to shine with perfect star quality on stage, tear clothes without hesitation, even shave their heads, and the contestants who put everything on the line make it impossible to look away. Moreover, the fierce battles of the 100, reminiscent of colosseum gladiators as they sharpen themselves against competitors, shed tears and even engage in scuffles, send survival show fans' dopamine soaring.
Which single name, which single style will survive on the judges' stage searching for a new style icon to shake the K-fashion scene? The fashion survival show Kill It, returning after 10 years, is drawing attention.
