YG Entertainment's groups BABYMONSTER and TREASURE's 2026 activity plans have been revealed.
YG posted "ABYMONSTER, TREASURE, AND UPCOMING ROOKIES | YG ANNOUNCEMENT," which contains detailed 2026 activity plans for BABYMONSTER and TREASURE, on its official channel on the 30th.
Through this video, Yang Hyun-suk, the head of overall operations, introduced the tracks of BABYMONSTER's mini album 3, "Choom (CHOOM)," which will be released on May 4. The first track of this new release is "Moon (MOON)." This song is a hip-hop track full of swag.
Yang Hyun-suk, the head of overall operations, said, "Recently YG has been actively holding song camps, and this is the first collaboration with the overseas production team for this song," and noted, "They are a team that makes sound design very sophisticated and unique."
He also said that for BABYMONSTER's title track "Choom," the choreography commissioning, which is normally assigned to 2–3 teams to achieve high-quality performance, was unusually expanded to 10 teams. In particular, Yang, the head of overall operations, directly participated in the work on the chorus section, foreshadowing the birth of another hit. Starting with "Choom," a total of four music videos will be released sequentially.
He also introduced the fast-tempo, exciting song "I Like It (I LIKE IT)" and the slow song that highlights the members' vocal abilities, "Locked In (LOCKED IN)."
YG said, "Following BABYMONSTER's new album, we are preparing the digital single 'Sugar Honey (SUGAR HONEY (working title))' to be released in June, and the music videos for the mini album 3 tracks 'I Like It' and 'Moon,' which will be released in July and August, respectively."
TREASURE will return with a mini album that opens a new chapter on June 1. This new release includes four tracks based on hip-hop. Yang Hyun-suk, the head of overall operations, said, "TREASURE debuted during the pandemic and faced many difficulties in the global market. This album is personally the result I like the most," and asked for anticipation.
Also, Yang Hyun-suk, the head of overall operations, said at the end of the video, "We will sequentially unveil the rookies that YG is planning."
