Song Eun I said, "There were many comments saying it seemed like the two had cut ties. The misunderstanding grew because we didn't renew the contract," recalling the situation at the time.

Behind the discord rumors was an issue over agency contract renewal. Kim Shin-young had been part of the company that Song Eun I once led as CEO, then chose to leave and not renew her contract, and this process appeared to outsiders like a conflict.
