Global pop star LeAnn Rimes reported a deterioration in her health shortly after a trip to celebrate her 15th wedding anniversary, drawing sympathy from fans.
On the 29th (local time), LeAnn Rimes announced on her social media, "I am unable to travel or perform this week due to a serious illness," and said she was abruptly canceling her scheduled Spokane and Seattle shows in Washington state.
LeAnn Rimes had originally planned to perform on April 30 and May 1, but was unable to take the stage because of a sudden health problem. She said, "My heart truly breaks to have to reschedule the shows," and added, "I am deeply grateful for the kindness and continued support fans have shown while I recover."
The shows have been rescheduled for about a month later. LeAnn Rimes said, "I look forward to seeing you on stage again soon," expressing her determination to return.
This episode is all the more shocking because it came just after she and her husband, Eddie Cibrian, took a romantic trip to Cabo, Mexico, to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. The two were married on April 22, 2011.
LeAnn Rimes posted photos that appeared happy during the trip but revealed, "I had stepped away for three days because painful things were happening at home with my family," saying, "This anniversary was filled with tears and worry, but there was also a deep gratitude for our love." In a message to her husband she even mentioned "menopause," leaving a hint about her health condition.
She recently drew public attention with some provocative behavior. Last month, a video of her receiving what is known as "deep jaw release therapy" and breaking into uncontrollable sobs was released and became a hot topic.
