Actor Kim Seong-soo opened up about memories with his deceased father related to cherry blossoms.
On the afternoon of the 30th, Channel A's "Shinrangsoop 2" showed Kim Seong-soo and Park So-yoon walking together along a cherry blossom path.
That day Park So-yoon said, "I wanted to walk with someone who likes cherry blossom paths," but Kim Seong-soo hesitated and could not continue.
He said, "I think I realized my neighborhood's cherry blossoms were famous after my father passed away. My father also really liked cherry blossoms," and added, "The first time my father was diagnosed was in January, so there were processes of going back and forth to the hospital."
He continued, "It was exactly cherry blossom season until my father could move around by car. But because that led up to my father's passing, the memory of cherry blossoms became the last cherry blossoms my father saw."
Kim Seong-soo talked about his memories with his father: "Actually, because my father liked cherry blossoms, when he was discharged from the hospital we would pass by there. It was the last time I saw cherry blossoms with my father. It was right in front of the house, and three seasons have passed since then but I never went. Then I met Soyoon, and she recently said she wanted to see cherry blossoms, so I told her to come to my neighborhood first."
Park So-yoon cautiously said, "If you pass by, it will bring back a lot of memories, but was it insensitive of me to say let's go see them so directly? For you, aren't cherry blossoms a sad memory?"
Kim Seong-soo said, "You can continue to assign that kind of meaning to cherry blossoms, but if you look at something someone else likes together, it might come to me differently, so it's not a complicated issue."
