The late film director Park Hee-gon reached the first anniversary of his passing.
Director Park Hee-gon passed away last year on April 30 at the age of 56.
He experienced a health issue once in 2024, and although he later worked to recover, he ultimately passed away. The sudden sad news delivered at dawn made the situation even more shocking.
He was born in 1969 and started as a commercial film (CF) director. He later made his commercial feature debut in 2009 with the film "Insadong Scandal," drawing attention from the Korean film industry.
He later received praise for the 2011 baseball film "Perfect Game," and in 2018 he was loved for the film "The Face Reader," which dramatically used feng shui geography and drew about 2.08 million viewers.
His final work was the 2023 film "Target." It was a realistic thriller that used crimes in used-goods transactions as its subject, featuring strong performances by Shin Hae-sun, Kim Sung-kyun, and Lim Seong-jae. <
