Reality dating show Heart Signal season 2 alum Kim Hyun-woo has revealed his current status, and past drunk driving incidents have resurfaced, prompting mixed reactions.
Kim Hyun-woo shared his recent daily life and condition in content released on the YouTube channel "Heart Signal LaBitTV" on the 28th. He introduced his self-care routine, saying, "These days I try to strictly maintain exercise, eating habits and sleep patterns," and drew attention by saying, "I feel time is wasted, so I sleep only three to four hours a day and wake up."
In particular, Kim Hyun-woo also revealed that he has transformed into an interior designer. He said he will be in charge of the interior of the signal house for the newly produced "Heart Signal season 5," drawing interest. Mentioning the shortcomings of the space he felt when appearing on season 2, he explained his reason for participating, saying, "I wondered if it would be different if I did it, and it became an opportunity."
Kim Hyun-woo, who was introduced midseason on "Heart Signal season 2," which aired in 2018, became very popular as the so-called "catfish man." He was prosecuted on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving) at trial, and a fine of 10 million won was upheld on appeal. It was also revealed that he had received fines in 2012 and 2013, drawing public criticism.
Because of this record, public reactions to Kim Hyun-woo's update are sharply divided. While some voices support his new move as an interior designer, criticism over his drunk driving history continues. Especially given that drunk driving is considered a serious crime even described as a "potentially murderous act," there are many responses saying his activities cannot be welcomed unconditionally.
