Actor Kim Jung-tae recalled his battle with liver cancer and was seen checking his health.
On the 29th broadcast of TV CHOSUN 'Dad and I', Kim Jung-tae, introduced as an 'obsessed son', had his daily life revealed.
That day, as Jun Hyun-moo said, "There is an important matter today," he visited the hospital for a health checkup and showed signs of nervousness, drawing attention by praying as soon as he got out of the car.
In an interview Kim Jung-tae said, "My liver was weak so I had surgery in the past," and "I had already experienced cirrhosis three times, and around October 2018 liver cancer developed." At the time, he felt something wrong while filming the drama The Last Empress and underwent tests, which delivered a shocking liver count in the 900s, far above the normal range (30–40).
Kim Jung-tae recalled, "I had an ominous feeling all over my body," and "a surgery that was scheduled for three hours took eight hours. It was such a difficult time that my family lay down on the floor." His wife also said, "The tumor's location was not good, so it was a major surgery removing about 30% of the liver," and added, "In the end, he stopped all activities and focused only on recovery."
Kim Jung-tae, who revealed the painful past of having to withdraw from a project due to his battle with liver cancer, continues to manage his health steadily and carry on with his daily life.
