That day Jeon Somi said, "We received so much love from that miraculous program 10 years ago. I wanted everyone who gathered this time to go back to that time and reminisce about the girl they liked back then," explaining the reason for I.O.I's reunion.
As they reunited, members also needed to sort out scheduling. Jeon Somi said, "We tried to get together for the fifth anniversary and the seventh anniversary, but for various reasons it didn't work out. This time we made a promise from the start. If I.O.I practice schedules are set, don't make personal plans. Even if good events come up, don't do them. We wrote a contract among ourselves saying 'this comes first,' held hands again and went to company C," she said.
Astonished, Kim Gu Ra asked, "Who led I.O.I?" and Jeon Somi answered, "Chung Ha unnie led it. We were summoned by unnie's call. We all held hands and went to company C."
Meanwhile, I.O.I, formed through cable channel Mnet's "Produce 101" in 2016, reunited after nine years to mark their 10th debut anniversary. They plan to meet fans around the world by releasing their third mini album and holding the world tour "2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP".
