Singer Lee Seung Gi will reappear on Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend.
On the 30th, OSEN reported that singer Lee Seung Gi will participate in the recording of KBS2's Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend composer Kim Do-hoon special, held on May 11, and perform on stage.
The two-part Kim Do-hoon composer special, which will air in two episodes, will feature many formidable vocalists competing against each other, including Lee Seung Gi, singer Bada, Gummy, Lee Jin-sung & Heo Gak & Lim Han-byeol, S.E.E.Y.A., K.WILL, Lee Seokhoon, Park Hyun-gyu, ONEWE and Psycus.
In particular, expectations are high as this will be Lee Seung Gi's first television appearance since his wife, actress Lee Da-in, became pregnant with their second child and following conflicts over an exclusive contract with his agency. Earlier, in February, it was reported that Lee Da-in was five months pregnant with their second child and received many congratulations.
However, not long after that, Lee Seung Gi drew attention by revealing that earlier this month he had notified his agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, of his intention to terminate his exclusive contract due to a breach of the contract. It was reported that the decisive factor behind the notice to terminate the exclusive contract was the issue of unpaid staff expenses. Big Planet Made, however, said it is continuously consulting so the matter can be resolved amicably.
Since then, Lee Seung Gi, who had quietly shared updates about spending time with his family on social media, plans to reveal his recent status on Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend, marking his return to variety shows after a long time.
This appearance on Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend came about because of his connection with composer Kim Do-hoon. Composer Kim Do-hoon has produced many hit songs, including S.E.S.'s Just a Feeling, Gummy's I Should Have Been Your Friend, SG Wannabe's Crime and Punishment, S.E.E.Y.A.'s Greeting of Love, Baek Z Young's Don't Forget, IU's Marshmallow, CNBLUE's I'm a Lonely One, Davichi's Time, Stop, Wheesung's I Thought of Marriage, K.WILL's Don't Do This, So You & Jung Gigo's Some, and many others.
Lee Seung Gi also worked with composer Kim Do-hoon on various songs such as Hard to Say, Untold Stories, Will You Marry Me and Let's Break Up, and by deciding to appear on this Kim Do-hoon composer special of Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend he honored that relationship. Moreover, last May Lee Seung Gi made his first appearance on Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend and won the final prize with a Drowning performance with Lee Hong-gi. Expectations are high for what kind of performance he will present this time.
Meanwhile, the Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend composer Kim Do-hoon special is scheduled to air on June 6 and 13.
