The band Lucy, reunited as a full lineup, said of their comeback, "It feels like a stopped clock is starting to move again."
Lucy released their second full-length album 'Childish' today (29) at 6 p.m. on various music streaming sites and made their comeback. It is a full-group album released 1 year and 8 months after member Shin Gwang-il was discharged.
Lucy personally shared their feelings about the comeback and the new release. First, Choi Sang-yeop said, "It feels like a stopped clock is starting to move again," and added, "We are truly grateful to the fans who waited for a long time, and we want to show Lucy's new music as soon as possible."
Jo Won-sang also said, "We tried to apply as much as possible what we learned from previous works, prioritizing being popular while not losing Lucy's unique color, and musically tried various aspects," asking for expectations.
Lucy's second full-length album Childish is an album that depicts a journey to find childhood innocence amid a bleak reality. Shin Ye-chan spoke about the song "Dongsi," saying, "There are many moments, but I feel the most special when I perform in front of fans. I achieve the image of myself on stage that I dreamed of since childhood one by one, and in that process I recall the times I worked fiercely and hard."
The feelings of Shin Gwang-il, who returned after military service, were also special. He said, "I am really grateful to the hyungs who filled my empty spot with good music and performances and protected the team. After returning, I practiced diligently in spare moments with the desire to show a more perfect drum performance than anyone else," expressing his feelings about joining Lucy after discharge.
With the comeback, Lucy will hold a solo concert, LUCY 9th CONCERT 'ISLAND', on May 16–17. Entering KSPO Dome for the first time since their debut, Lucy said, "It is an honor to be able to step onto KSPO Dome, the dream stage for a band," and added, "I feel infinite gratitude that there are so many fans who love band music. Seeing the stage grow larger and larger, I am so happy that the moment we have dreamed of for a long time has come close enough to hardly believe it. Now that we are complete again, we think this is an opportunity to see the fruits of our efforts," asking for anticipation for the performance.
