The girl group KATSEYE is asserting its presence as an emerging force in pop.
HYBE–Geffen Records' global girl group KATSEYE successfully charted on the U.S. Billboard "Hot 100" for two consecutive weeks. KATSEYE debuted in the United States in Aug. 2024 based on the "K-pop methodology" under HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk's "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy.
According to the latest U.S. Billboard chart released on the 28th (local time) for the week of May 2, "PINKY UP" rose to No. 49 on the "Hot 100." This is a remarkable achievement following last week's No. 28, which set KATSEYE's highest debut on the Hot 100. Also, "Touch" rose to No. 2 on the "Bubbling Under Hot 100." The result is especially notable because it came about roughly 1 year and 9 months after the songs were released.
On Billboard's "Global 200" and "Global (excluding U.S.)," "PINKY UP" ranked No. 38 and No. 51, respectively. The hit "Gabriela," released in June last year, entered those charts for the 44th week.
Fueled by the long-running success of "Gabriela," KATSEYE's second EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, ranked No. 95 on the main album chart, the "Billboard 200," marking 43 consecutive weeks on the chart. It is significant that the EP has maintained steady results for more than 10 months since peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 (July 12, 2025).
KATSEYE is currently visiting Korea and will add to the excitement by appearing on music shows this week. They will stage a dazzling comeback performance with "PINKY UP."
"PINKY UP" previously ranked No. 14 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart (week of April 17–23), setting a new personal best for the team and standing out on major global charts. "Touch" also showed signs of a reverse climb, achieving the feat of entering that chart at No. 88.
