Jang Do-youn's film debut "Your Country" remains shrouded in mystery, and attention has refocused after remarks by Koo Kyo-hwan.
In a YouTube video for "Salon Drip 2" released on the 28th, Koo Kyo-hwan displayed his characteristic wit as he recounted his failed attempt at hosting.
That day Koo Kyo-hwan recalled appearing with his partner and film director Lee Ok-seop on the 100th episode, and he joked, "The problem was the 2MC combination," adding, "That person was a complete novice among rookies, and I had veteran energy so the balance didn't match," which elicited laughter. He went on, "After work I couldn't say a word in the car and just sighed," recalling, "My chest hurt so much it was hard to practice lines," and he added, "If that's the case you should have done better, of course I should have done better too," finishing on a cheerful note.
The conversation naturally turned to Jang Do-youn's film debut "Your Country." When Koo Kyo-hwan mentioned the work, Jang Do-youn asked as if curious about the release date, "Isn't that what I dreamed of?" Koo Kyo-hwan replied, "I'll save it and release it when Jang Do-youn is at her peak," raising expectations. Even with the release schedule undecided, he expressed confidence in the project.
The two also discussed their chemistry during filming. Koo Kyo-hwan said, "They were people I was very comfortable with at the afterparty, so I took on the MC role, but Jang Do-youn barged in and made it more fun," and described it as "like a high-five between Seo Tae-woong and Kang Baek-ho." Jang Do-youn agreed, saying, "I also had a lot of fun. Rather than forcing jokes, I enjoyed myself."
Earlier, in January last year, the agency said Jang Do-youn appeared in Lee Ok-seop's new film "Your Country" and had finished filming. It was reported that Koo Kyo-hwan and Kim So-jin also appear in the film. However, distribution and release dates have not yet been confirmed.
Jang Do-youn, taking on her first film challenge, has drawn even more anticipation. Although the release date is undecided, interest continues over when the already completed film will be released to the public.
