Singer Soyou returns with a deeper sensibility.
Soyou releases her third EP 'Off Hours (오프 아워스)' this evening (29) at 6 p.m. on various online music sites and begins full-fledged comeback activities. This album expands Soyou's musical spectrum to the next level.
Earlier, her agency Magic Strawberry Sound released a teaser for the music video of the title track "Girl" on its official social media. In the released video, Soyou appears with bold and sensory styling that is differentiated from her previous image, drawing attention. Soyou's transformation, which realized a "visual narrative," piques curiosity about the full music video.
This album 'Off Hours' refers to time spent focusing on myself after a busy day. Before being a musician, Soyou candidly put the anguish and inner stories she feels as an individual into this album.
The title track "Girl" is an indie pop song that blends tight drum sounds with rhythmic guitar. Soyou participated directly in writing the lyrics for this song, adding authenticity. In particular, through the blunt lyric "I am not a cool girl," she unreservedly expresses an inner self shaken by the world's gaze.
Since joining Magic Strawberry Sound in 2025, Soyou has demonstrated delicate expressiveness through the previously released single "See through" and the ENA drama OST "Tonight" from "Scarecrow". This new release, which pairs her uniquely attractive husky tone with a band sound, is expected to further solidify "Soyou's musical domain".
