Revival leader Kim Tae-won reappeared before fans after enduring multiple health crises and malicious fake news.
In a recently released video on the YouTube channel "Kim Tae-won Class," Kim Tae-won greeted fans, saying, "You missed me, so I came back. Thank you so much for keeping your loyalty. I always love you."
He went on to say about the hiatus, "I wanted to make and release new music, but I broke too many promises. It was a period when I was somewhat hesitant," he confessed. Especially when asked about his current condition, he revealed, "It's awkward to say, but I was hospitalized four times," eliciting sympathy.
Kim Tae-won previously mentioned absurd fake news about him on Radio Star. He said, "They cover me regularly and it's a bit intense," and complained that false videos claiming he had already died were repeatedly posted. He added, "At first I let it go, but when my family called I got tired. I contacted the cyber investigation unit, but they said they couldn't catch them," leaving a bitter impression.
Health problems have also plagued Kim Tae-won for a long time. He was once diagnosed with very early-stage stomach cancer and was cured through surgery, later suffered from sepsis and experienced a relapse. It was also reported that he lost consciousness from shock symptoms and was taken to the emergency room several times.
Member Park Wan Kyu also said on a broadcast, "Tae-won hyung collapsed twice this year. He said, 'He didn't cross that river and came back again,'" which raised fans' concerns.
Despite that, Kim Tae-won did not give up music. He said, "I also felt guilty about the 14th album and wanted to prove myself," and pledged, "I am being comforted by music from the shock of my father's death. I will continue to do my best."
