UV member You Se Yoon and Iyoo candidly revealed the reason they held a free performance at Children's Grand Park.
On the 27th, the two, who appeared on the YouTube content Zzanbro, shared an episode about holding a free concert on the outdoor stage at Children's Grand Park after a scheduled performance was canceled.
First, Iyoo recalled the response was much hotter than expected, saying, "About 15,000 people gathered over two days." In response, You Se Yoon joked, "I pointed my finger a lot at the people who came for free," and he conveyed UV's characteristically cheerful performance atmosphere, saying, "Even when we were cursed at, everyone still found it funny."
In particular, they revealed why the performance ended earlier than expected. The two said, "Children's Grand Park has times when the deer sleep," noting that the outdoor stage performance time was limited to protect the animals, which drew laughter.
Even after the free performance, You Se Yoon's hunger for the stage continued. He mentioned the coin karaoke concert that recently attracted attention and said, "Even if it's not music, I wanted to try performing alone." You Se Yoon explained, "I chose coin karaoke because I thought I should start from a very small space so that an awkward situation like at Children's Grand Park wouldn't happen again." He meant that he wanted to be close to the audience and interact directly rather than being on a large stage.
He also said, "Next, I plan to gradually increase the scale to ordinary karaoke and live cafes," adding a realistic plan: "If it doesn't sell out, I might go back down." He then said, "I really want to experience the phrase 'sold out' once, so I prepared promotional materials even before it sold out," which provoked laughter.
Hearing this, Iyoo analyzed You Se Yoon as "a very sentimental person. When he feels depressed or empty, he works it out through content." She added in sympathy, "I too have come to understand that kind of emptiness more as I get older." You Se Yoon also said, "As I get older, I have more thoughts and they tend to go in a negative direction," and confessed, "So I start projects or exercise to avoid thinking."
