The group 82MAJOR returns to the music scene after six months, showcasing the dignity of a "self-producing idol." From dreamy sensibilities to intense beats, a film capturing their musical growth across genres unveils today.
Today (28th) at 6 p.m., 82MAJOR releases their fifth mini album FEELM through various music sites. Later that day at 8 p.m., they will hold a release showcase concert at YES24 Wonderlock Hall in Seoul and meet fans in person.
This new release is their first album in about six months since "Trophy," released last October, and is characterized by weaving various emotional moments together like a single film.
In particular, all members participated in the overall production, including lyrics, composition, and arrangement, drawing attention. Beyond a group that focuses solely on performance, they are expected to firmly establish themselves as "artists" who directly design their musical identity.
The title track "Sign" amplifies 82MAJOR's matured charm. Over a dreamy melody and restrained beat, the lyrics weave in the "signals between you and me," completing an addictive hook.
Included tracks show 82MAJOR's "genre all-kill" trajectory, from "W.T.F," where jazz and intense beats coexist, to bailé funk "CAGE," which contrasts an upbeat beat with a lyrical melody, the heavy-bass-impressive "CIRCLES," and the house dance track "YESSIR!," which interprets retro samples in a modern way.
Having already proven their stage presence through European tours and solo concerts at home and abroad, 82MAJOR recently proved their global prominence by winning the "Overseas Group with potential of the year" at China's "Weibo International Entertainment Awards."
