Images of Cha Eun-woo on stage at a military band event held on the 23rd recently spread rapidly across online communities and social media.
In the released photos, Cha Eun-woo appeared in a neat tuxedo holding a microphone and saluting; although he wore a suit instead of a military uniform, his composed presence still captured attention.
Especially, his appearance on stage among orchestra members evoked the feeling of watching a performance, and his disciplined posture and calm expression led to reactions calling it the "military band visual."
The reason this appearance is receiving more attention is that it was released after the recent tax issue that surfaced. Earlier, Cha Eun-woo underwent a tax investigation by the National Tax Service related to transaction structures with a family-owned corporation, and an initial notification of an estimated additional tax bill of about 20 billion won caused a major stir.
After undergoing pre-assessment reviews and adjustment procedures before taxation, the actual payable amount was settled at about 13 billion won. The agency said, "All personal income taxes have been fully paid and some refunds are expected to be processed."
