Actor Go So-young confessed she suffered because of serious rumors before marriage.
On the 28th, the Go So-young channel uploaded a video titled "Why Go So-young deleted all her YouTube videos (a personal confession)."
The producing director said, "What I misunderstood at first was, 'Go So-young can make a living just by doing commercials.' I thought she didn't build a career and lived off her image."
Go So-young said, "For a while I appeared in films one after another and found work fun and something I wanted to do, but I think I was a bit worn out by the press then," adding, "Articles kept coming out with things that weren't true. For example, I had a lot of male friends around me. Then they would splice them together to create an imaginary person and run dating rumors with someone who didn't even exist, or when a gossip column ran a dating rumor about Miss K, it was always me."
She continued, "Before I got married there were even strange rumors. They said, 'She gave birth.' I couldn't understand that at all, because at that time new commercials were coming out every month for a year—so when would I have had a visible pregnancy and given birth? It didn't make sense, so I just ignored it," she explained.
However, Go So-young said, "But one day an older woman told me, 'You had a baby but you're still very slim. You must have lost the weight quickly,'" and said she was shocked, adding, "If I didn't get rid of this rumor, I really wouldn't be able to get married. And later, when my children are born, I would have to tell them everything, wouldn't I? So I sued everyone. It felt humiliating."
