A married fan delivered a surprising remark about TVXQ!'s charm.
TVXQ! held solo concerts "東神起 20th Anniversary LIVE IN NISSAN STADIUM ~RED OCEAN~" at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan, on Apr. 25 and 26.
Before the Apr. 25 performance, OSEN met local fans who had come to Nissan Stadium to watch the concert and asked about TVXQ!'s charm and what drew them to the group. Their genders, ages and reasons for liking them were all different, but their affection for TVXQ! was the same.
Amid the large crowd, we met Haruka (39), Saori (34) and Sara (9), who were taking photos with a poster of TVXQ! in the background. Haruka and Saori are sisters, and Sara is Haruka's daughter.
Haruka said she liked TVXQ! even before her daughter was born and noted, "I played TVXQ! songs during prenatal care." After the mother and aunt, daughter Sara also became a TVXQ! fan. Sara described TVXQ!'s charm as "handsome," and Saori confidently said, "They're so cool it leaves you speechless."
The two mentioned their favorite TVXQ! songs as "Rising Sun," "Reboot" and "Mirotic," and their varied experiences—Haruka having seen the Nissan Stadium performance, Saori having seen it twice, and Sara attending for the first time—added meaning. When asked if she had anything to say to TVXQ!, Sara said, "I hope you continue to hold concerts in Japan," and Haruka said, "Can You Marry Me?" showing how TVXQ!'s charm can even captivate a married woman.
Next we met newlyweds Hazuki (30) and Ayumu (27). Asked how many TVXQ! performances she had seen, Hazuki said, "I've seen them so many times I can't count," and said she had attended the last two Nissan Stadium concerts as well.
When asked what she wanted to see on the Nissan stage this time, Hazuki said, "I want to see the members running around." She added that the reason she likes the members is "they're handsome, cool and have great personalities." Watching this, her husband Ayumu said, "My wife is a fan of Yunho. We studied by watching YouTube together. We're looking forward to today's performance." The husband said this was his first time seeing a TVXQ! performance.
What does the first Nissan Stadium performance in eight years mean to fans? Hazuki hesitated, saying, "That's a difficult question," then explained, "After completing military service and marking their 20th anniversary since debut, they have gathered many fans by performing at such a large venue. It's a stage with great significance."
Hazuki, who has been a TVXQ! fan for 16 years since high school, said, "I will like them until I die," and Ayumu said, "Seeing my wife like them for so long, I hope she continues to love them." In particular, Hazuki expressed her affection by saying to TVXQ!, "I hope you live a long and healthy life," which drew attention.
