TVXQ! Max Changmin will appear at ASEA 2026, once again proving his global stature.
According to the organizing committee on the 27th, Max Changmin has been confirmed as the MC for the second day of the third Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2026 (ASIA STAR ENTERTAINER AWARDS, hereinafter "ASEA 2026"), to be held May 16 and 17 at Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. In addition to hosting the ceremony that day, he is expected to present a special stage as a solo artist.
Max Changmin, who debuted in 2003, is regarded as a "living legend" who has held the top of K-pop for more than 20 years. Recently, together with Yunho, he drew a total of 350,000 spectators on a nationwide live tour commemorating their 20th anniversary of debut in Japan, and demonstrated his unrivaled strength by setting a new record for the most dome performances nationwide and at Tokyo Dome by an overseas artist.
In particular, on the 25th and 26th he successfully completed performances at Nissan Stadium Yokohama, achieving the feat of becoming the first and highest-performing overseas artist. In recognition of these contributions, he recently received the presidential citation at the 16th Korea Culture and Arts Awards.
His activities as a solo artist are also unmatched: last year he sold out his first solo tour across eight Japanese cities, and with every release he has proven solid vocal ability and wide genre versatility, firmly maintaining his position as a top-class artist.
Now in its third year, ASEA 2026 is a global music festival that brings together artists who exert influence not only across Asia but around the world. On the first day, the 16th, Monsta X's Hyungwon and IVE's Rei will host as MCs, and &TEAM, ENHYPEN, VV, ID:IT and others will present spectacular stages. Actor Lee Jun-ho and Go Youn-jung will also attend to brighten the event.
On the 17th, when Max Changmin and actor Lee Sung-kyoung pair up, ATEEZ, Kwon Eun-bi, Wonho, Psycus and others are listed in the lineup, and actor Lee Chae-min will also join. The awards ceremony is hosted by Newsen and AtStyle and organized by the ASEA organizing committee.<
