Actress Kwon Yuri achieved a successful acting transformation.
Kwon Yuri met with the audience and drew enthusiastic cheers during the final performance of the psychological thriller play 'THE WASP (말벌)' on the 26th.
'THE WASP (말벌)' is a two-person play about two former classmates, 'Heather' and 'Kaala', who reunite after 20 years. 'THE WASP (말벌)', which premiered on March 8, concluded on the 26th as the actors' passionate performances prompted repeat viewings.
In 'THE WASP', Kwon Yuri played Kaala, who, pregnant with her fifth child, endures harsh survival amid the cycle of poverty.
To portray a character who is pregnant with her fifth child, she bought a pregnancy simulation suit herself to familiarize her body with everyday movements and increase her understanding, set up lodging near the rehearsal studio to concentrate on intensive practice, and Kwon Yuri's sincerity, effort and passionate performance in building her own character paid off.
In a story full of twists and turns, Kwon Yuri delivered overwhelming immersion with acting that did not miss a single subtle thread of the character's gradually rising emotions, holding the audience's attention to the end and leaving a deep aftertaste.
Kwon Yuri said, "I sincerely thank the audience who gave so much love and the three 'Heathers' who performed with me. I will cherish the good memories in my heart and wait for the day I can greet you on another stage."
