TVXQ! stood again at Nissan Stadium after eight years, delivering overwhelming emotion.
TVXQ! held a solo concert, '東神起 20th Anniversary LIVE IN NISSAN STADIUM ~RED OCEAN~', at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan, on April 25 and 26.
That day Max Changmin finished the opening and, looking at the fans who filled Nissan Stadium, said, "I am Max Changmin. It has been exactly one year since the Tokyo Dome concert. Have you been well? I never imagined I would meet so many people again at Nissan Stadium," and added, "I had been thinking, 'I want to stand on Nissan Stadium again,' and it really feels like a dream."
Yunho, also moved to tears, referred to last year's album jacket cover and said, "It included an illustration expressing the wish to stand on the Nissan Stadium stage, which had not yet been decided at the time. That dream has become reality. 'If you wish, it comes true'—we achieved it together with everyone here," expressing gratitude to fans.
The two's impressions of reentering Nissan could be heard more at a meeting with the press after the concert. Yunho admitted, "As expected, standing here is overwhelming. There were several moments today." He continued, "Fans were crying in front of us and smiling brightly, so I kept feeling like I was about to cry. It's not only because the stadium is large but also because our fans tend to be warm-hearted."
This performance was even more meaningful as it marked the culmination of their 20th anniversary since debuting in Japan. Changmin said, "It was so special and I really wanted to stand here again; I wondered if I could. Popularity cannot last forever, so I thought about whether I could again stand in a big venue like Nissan."
Changmin added, "The number '20' feels even more meaningful, and personally I'm so happy to be able to share a special time with fans in such a large venue. I'm truly very grateful to the fans," expressing thanks to the fans who have been with them for a long time.
