TVXQ! stood again at Nissan Stadium after eight years, expressing overwhelming emotion.
TVXQ! held a solo concert, '東神起 20th Anniversary LIVE IN NISSAN STADIUM ~RED OCEAN~,' at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan, on April 25 and 26.
After the opening, Max Changmin looked out at the fans who filled Nissan Stadium and said, "Max Changmin. It has been about exactly one year since the Tokyo Dome performance. Have you been well? I never imagined I would meet so many people again at Nissan Stadium," and opened his mouth, saying, "I had been thinking, 'I want to stand on Nissan Stadium again,' and it really feels like a dream."
U-Know Yunho, also overcome with emotion, mentioned last year's album jacket cover and said, "It featured an illustration expressing a hope to stand on the Nissan Stadium stage, which had not yet been decided at the time. That dream has become reality. 'If you wish, it comes true'—we achieved this with the people here," expressing gratitude to the fans.
The two's impressions of reentering Nissan Stadium could be heard more fully at a press meeting held after the concert. Yunho confessed, "As expected, standing here is overwhelming. There were several moments today." He added, "Fans cried in front of us and smiled brightly, so tears kept coming. I think it's not just the size of the venue but also that our fans have warm dispositions."
This concert was even more meaningful as it marked the finale of their 20th anniversary since debuting in Japan. Changmin said, "It was so special, and I really wanted to stand here again; I wondered if I could—" and added, "Popularity cannot last forever, so I wondered whether we could ever stand again in such a large venue as Nissan."
Changmin continued, "The number '20' feels even more meaningful, and personally I'm so happy to be able to spend a special time with fans in such a large venue. I am truly so grateful to the fans," expressing thanks to the fans who had been with them for a long time.
