Bae Ki-sung said it has been three months since he experienced the hearing loss and, with a somber face, explained, "They said if you can't hear by six months you can receive a disability diagnosis. If you get that diagnosis you would either have cochlear implant surgery or need a hearing aid. If sound can be perceived you can use a hearing aid, but if sound can't be perceived at all you would need cochlear implant surgery. They said the adaptation period is about a year."
Watching this footage, Kang Susie said, "Even when you only hear tinnitus it's hard, but if one ear doesn't hear... the only medicine is a sedative. I don't know if he received medicine, but he's doing so well (that's a relief)," mentioning Bae Ki-sung's positive demeanor.
