The group NEXZ will open the curtain on its dazzling 2026 global activities with a new single album.
NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Huey, Yuki) will simultaneously release worldwide at 6 p.m. on the 27th their second single album Mmchk and the title track of the same name. This new release is their comeback work six months after the mini album released last October, Beat-Boxer, and it is the first single they are presenting in about two years since announcing their global debut, Ride the Vibe, in May 2024.
The album title Mmchk, read as "Mmchk," is a kind of signal of presence that, like a rhythmic sound, showcases NEXZ's distinctive and peculiar charm. It is a coined term expressing the group's attitude that is difficult to define within existing frameworks, capturing the seven members' confident and cool identity of choosing what they are drawn to at each moment and enjoying it without regret rather than being bound by preset standards.
This album includes three tracks: the title track Mmchk, the included song HYPEMAN, and Mmchk (English Version) for global listeners. Above all, it is notable that members Tomoya, Huey, and Yuki proudly have songwriting credits. The members, who have steadily participated in work on songs such as Next Zeneration and Next To Me, added their touch to every track on this release, proving solid musical growth as a next-generation self-producing group.
The title track Mmchk is a dance track based on bass house, with playful rap and an addictive beat that maximizes NEXZ's freewheeling energy. Fitting the description of a "group where everyone can dance," this performance will also deliver bold and thrilling excitement. A day before the comeback, on the 26th, they surprised fans by releasing a performance video teaser in the version of animal characters symbolizing the members, NEXZOO, gaining enthusiastic responses for its unexpected charm.
With the release of the new album, NEXZ will embark on a sweeping global campaign that crosses domestic and international boundaries. Starting with a comeback showcase at 8 p.m. on the release day the 27th, they will continue global showcase events in Taipei on May 4, Hong Kong on June 6, and Bangkok on July 4. Furthermore, they will hold their first arena tour in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, and in September they are expected to take the stage at Brazil's mega music festival Rock in Rio, captivating fans around the world.
