The group ENHYPEN member Niki captured the hearts of ENGENE (the fandom name) around the world at once with a cover video steeped in deep emotion.
On the 25th, Niki released on ENHYPEN's official YouTube channel a cover video of American singer-songwriter Keshi's hit song "LIMBO." This song, which Keshi released in 2022, is a global hit track approaching 400 million Spotify streams.
In the video, Niki layered his own attractive mid-to-low voice over the original's languid, dreamy mood to present a fresh charm. His restrained emotional line achieved through detailed dynamic control, along with deep facial acting, densely conveyed the song's narrative about wandering and worries in everyday life.
According to his agency Belift Lab Inc., Niki showcased his capabilities as a multi-talented artist by contributing ideas across the planning and direction of this video. He focused especially on faithfully recreating the feelings and surroundings he experienced at last year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Against a trailer at dusk, warm orange tones and vintage props blend to create a cinematic atmosphere.
In addition, it is reported that he personally suggested one-take shooting techniques for the video's natural flow and poured exceptional passion into the project, repeatedly recording multiple takes to achieve a perfect result.
Through his agency, Niki said, "Preparing this cover allowed me to capture exactly the feelings I felt in the United States one year ago, which was very meaningful," and added, "Everything in the lyrics and melody reminded me of that time, so I liked it even more," conveying heartfelt reflections.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN, of which Niki is a member, will open the fourth world tour ENHYPEN world tour "BLOOD SAGA" with a spectacular curtain-raiser from May 1 to 3 at KSPO DOME (formerly Gymnastics Stadium) in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul. Beginning with the Seoul shows, which sold out early, the tour will visit 21 cities worldwide, including South America, North America, Asia, four major domes in Japan and Europe, staging a massive tour of 31 shows in total.
